THE CALIFORNIAN RED WORM
- Its colour is dark red.
- It breaths through the skin.
- It is 6 to
8 cm long, and its weight is 1.4 gr. - It can´t tolerate solar light, a worm exposed to solar light dies in a few minutes.
- It lives about 4.5 years and can produce 1,300 new worms by year.
- The Californian red worm advances at the same time that eats and makes tunnels, leaving the excreta behind and turning the ground in one much more fertile
- We´ve got a lot of worms in our school orchard.
